so the best hubby in the world bought me a netbook for xmas. He is the most wonderful man in the world i am often not sure how i got so lucky.

I havent been able to raverly in ages but i also havent been knitting funny. My life has been up in the air since the move and what not I am pretty sure I only know were three projects are. I know they are all generally in the 'yarn closet' but i really need to organize it to find anything. I have mittens in there some where i started on mothers day i should really finish while its cold enough to need mittens.

Well we had a late summer fall from hell. We had to move since the landlord we had been renting from apparently opted to not pay is mortgage the last year or so. At that time we found out he had spent the security and rent we gave him so we are assed out on that money but we could sue him for it. Since he doesnt have said money that will prolly lead to a payment arrangement of 10$ a month that he will never pay us. Oh well

Tomorrow marks our 3 year anniversary that many people most likely never thought we would make it to.

I am finally able to make it to knitting on Wed since I live in the same town. And I have even made it to a friday one wooo hooo. Now to start knitting again. I havent finished a project in ages.

Well kinda... I am going to go to weight watchers again... I have been watching my friend Gina aka sleepyeyes lose and amazing amount of weight on the program, along with one of the hockey moms and I need to do this. I need to do it for me dighton would be happy to help. So now the debate is do I head there now or weight till monday. I know maybe it sounds as if I am not serious but i am leaning towards monday only because if I go now i wont regularlly be going on Saturday ams as I would typically be at work. So if i wait till monday I will be able to go every monday.
When the lazy boy gets out of bed I will have him snap a pic as a starting reference and we will take it from there.

So my last day at the 'Boo is July 19th though I am thinking this week end would be better since I wont get vacation time till this time next year.
I will be starting my training on July 20th. sure hope I made the right decision but to late now.

So I have figured out my problem lately I have a need to cast on projects and actually suffer anxiety when i am almost done. Wont those needles feel unloved if they are naked of my lovely yarns.
Now since most of you only know me via cyber world you dont know that I have actual OCD. Most of my issues tend to deal with food... Hello y am I fat you would like I would be thin with that knuttiness but I am off track now. Due to the OCD I actually knit on a schedule. Full out on a excel spreadsheet checking off each project as I knit on it. Each project gets a day and then I must move on, now since I work sleep crazy hours a day is finished by going to sleep. I started my schedule to help with holiday knitting and now cant stop. This was the plan originally there are seven days in the week day 1 = project 1, day 2 = project 2 etc. with day 6 a cast on day and day 7 a you pick em and the schedule continues as I finish a project it is blacked out. If I dont knit for some reason like well work... I cant move on. Now here is my problem I really want to knit on my shawl tomorrow since its Wed. night knitting night but its a cast on day so I cant unless I cast on something now since I have not touched needles today. So here i sit at 1:45 am about to cast on just so I can do a you pick 'em day on my Wed.

SO i finally got something off the needles yippee. The first one is cookie a's Stricken the second is Barrows in 3IG Lewis colorway which was a club yarn. The Third one is a Jaywalker in a garden colorway by Unwind Yarns. For now number 2 and number 3 will live together in harmony (hahaha get it) till one is a pair and can graduate onto real feet. My bet is on number 3 since it lives in my purse and can be done at hockey.

So If you actually know me you know we have been trying to have a child for well a long time and it has not happened. This normally means I shed lots of tears at least once a month when I realize it again didnt happen. We have gone through some tests and some drugs and so far N is the problem but I need meds to make up for it. I hate the Clomid makes me feel like crap for the entire month shit if i feel like that I damn well better be pg. So I come home for work the other night to N telling me some one we know has recently knocked up his gf and he doesnt think he is ready to be a father. Wait there is more.... this past summer he got another women pg not the gf but a mistress and had her get an abortion, she might have took off with the thing she is gone from his life now. N bites his tongue as A$$ is telling him this wanting to say if you dont want to be a father stop having unprotected sex. Anyways N tells me and again tears.... wow maybe I can cry 2x this month.

Week from Hell

Well this has been week from hell. Work was crazy busy and I feel like I was ready explode. In the end it leaves me thinking I need a new job but I haven't even been there for a year yet and it looks like i am a flight risk if i leave. Honestly I really want to work for Darrell again but its the same business so I am sure the issues will be the same. I think in reality I just wanna go home....good ole Claremont.

Thankfully I had Friday off and got to go to knitting night I really really needed that

I hope everyone had a great Xmas. I did and I even went to the inlaws it was the first time I have seen them since before my wedding over two years ago.
On the knitting front I have been knitting on a schedule nicely and actually cast off one of ndebes socks. I do adapt some as my hockey game knitting needs to be vanilla no matter what I should be working on at that time ditto for knitting knit no counting can be done there for some reason.

So until recently I was a monogamous knitter one project at a time, however, something is changing in me. I am going to blame it on the holidays and trying to holiday knit but I want to cast on things instead of actually knitting them. Maybe it is the stash I have been accumulating and I want it to look smaller. None the less I think I am going to have to make a deal with myself in order to actually even finish anything. I will only be allowed to cast on things on my first day off work I don't have to start a new project mind you but I am allowed to... on the second day off I can work on any project I want in theory it should be a project that I am about to finish.

so here is what I picture my week looking like with my week starting on Monday but that may be a day off or work day
the Projects are numbered in my projects on ravelry I will remove the number as I bump them out of wip status to finished status
work day 1 --- Project #1 --- currently 8'8'8' shawl
work day 2 --- Project #2 --- Stricken with soule
work day 3 --- Project #3 --- itty bitty squares.... mitre square sock yarn blanket ---this one might not always happen since it depends on the availability of scrap sock yarn.... If not available its a you pick day
work day 4 --- Project #4 --- Lewis Barrows
work day 5 --- Project #5 --- oops I guess I need to cast on a project hahahaha
day off 1 --- Cast on --- work on that project
day off 2 --- you pick em --- any thing I want. I will try to make it something I am casting off soon but this wont always happen.

So today is the second day of work for me this week... I will be working on my Stricken with Soule when I am done Rambling on here. wink wink

WOW A 1/2 BLACK PREZ

Who woulda thunk? Sorry guys as a mother of a mixed child and hopefully another one some day I refuse to call him a black president. I just cant back the concept of one persons race out weighing the other, the fact that people want it to well means we really haven't come that far. I was thinking last night how my first election was for Bill Clinton and people were remarking that he was the first Black Prez, why because of where he came from culturally well if your culture background is where you get it from then Obama is just another white pres... he was after all raised by his white mother and typical grandmother. I am not at all trying to negate the fact that most people look at him and see a black man its just a curious thing to me.
My loving husband Ndebe often declares himself African since his father was born in raised in Liberia. I wonder how this makes his mom feel to just negate who she is. Understanding that when they split up he chose to stay with his father he was in the end touched more by the African side then the Black American side. I have always felt bad for the parents of mixed children as society wants to label them purely on site and deny them the rights to be who they are. I try hard to teach Tage that he is Hispanic and white, yet when you see him walking down the street at you he is just another white kid. I wonder why people fear the race game in labeling people when its often the surface of a persons very being. When Ndebe and I have a child it will be half white half black period I wont justicify Americas neat little labels and allow anyone to call it black.

Just the same WOW a brown face in the White House amazing. Ndebe said this hurt him because it meant his father lied to him as a child.... He was told he could be anything he wanted when he grew up .... except.... Well Mr. Selli I guess this is an OK lie.

These are some socks I am making for a little girl whose brother palys hockey with tage. She told me she wanted some wild socks so this is what she is getting. I got this yarn back when magic strips (I actually got a whole bunch of them) first came out with hopes of learning to do sock. I learned how to do socks and promptly left the magic strips behind.

This is my first Stricken by Cookie A. Wow this women is amazing.

I love the way this sock fit and since I trusted in her smarts it even fits my cankles. I normally up needle size or something to ensure they fit me. Sorry mom since these fit my cankles I will be keeping this pair.

Well I finally found some yarn N. was OK with. He has been bugging me to make him a pair of socks for awhile now but he demanded them to be solid black... have you ever heard of such a thing. heeehheee. Then low and behold some one sent me some monochromatic sock yarn and he said well that will do. I made him short socks with a simple cable but he wore them and seems to like them. There they are in progress at the NH Highland games I spent most of my time knitting while I listened to some great music. I must say I did see many other people knitting and hooking up in the mountians of all ages. I did get some odd looks here and there and a couple people say man i wish i could do that I laughed and told them they could... and they walked away.

The evils of Friday Nite Knit Night

So I had tonight off and N. was home Tage had hockey and then I was free. Yippie I will get to go to Y&F for knit nite. So knowing that I was going to be able to go I wound a ball of sock yarn for a nice on the go project and grad the Cookie A pattern for Stricken that I had been wanting to start and off I went. Well lets just put it this way not a stitch was made tonight. I got there and spent 3.5 hours at knit nite and have nothing. I cast on no problem begin round one..... the stitches don't add up I have 80 on my needles but it appears I need 88... mmm should I correct the pattern. NO I WILL FROG. I frog the cast on and the first round and do it over still not the right amount of stitches... that's it stricken has been struck and it is grounded now. When I get home I shower and think on this convinced there must be some errata somewhere... I look none. Maybe I am the only person you has knit the large in this sock after all there are only 30 on Ravelry. I go to my bedroom thinking lets do the math and figure out where I can remove 8 stitches for the directions or perhaps add 8 stitches to the cast on. I grab a piece of paper add up all the stitches for my size and what do I get 80... how can this be. grrr.....

Apparently you are not allowed to mix and match the directions and I must have been doing so while gabbing along with my knitting friends. So now at 1:30am after casting on at 7:30 pm I have the cast on and 2 rounds done. HEY, wait does that mean I can change the start date on Ravelry to October 4th. wink wink

So i am sitting here trying to figure out a way to freeze time. I am about to turn 35 in damn now its 30 minutes. tick tock tick tock. I am just not ready for this. My baby is about to turn 11. N and I would like to have another child but its not in the cards thus far and now 35 that's when the worries increase and likeliness decreases I hardly think it far. Wow 29 minutes. Quick somebody help me stop the clock. Common all you Hogwarts witches and wizards I know you know a way to fix this. haha N just told me to look on the bright side I have a 33 yo husband and that makes me a cougar, I am sure he thinks that's funny. Drat tick tock tick tock, this is the first time I remember dreading the birthday thing. I know from others that there are certain years that will bug you for one reason or another and 35 is one for me.

So, almost three hours later a split splice and several DVR'ed movies and I have saved the Merino Lace that dighton tried to destory/play with. I hope it we can break him of his breaking things habit. I know he is a puppy but UGH. Thankfully some of my Yarn Buddies think they might has some ways to stop this. Amen to them.

Silly Me

So like I mentioned in an earlier post Dighton ate a pair of socks i made well you think that would have taught me... oh no didn't happen. Last night I come home from my Friday night knitting group and continue to knit on my Fantasy Shawl... my first real lace project (with lace weight yarn) I get tired and leave it on the chair were I always leave my stuff. What was I thinking. Well I came down in the morning and it was still there great he didn't bother it... big smile. Silly me I left it there and went to work again leaving yarn and project on my 'project chair'. Fast forward N. calls me looking for his car keys (not part of the story) tell him I don't know were 'your' keys are. N follows up with you are going to be very angry with your dog... why I ask. He says you know that thing you were knitting last night. Yes I say. N says well Dighton has destroyed the yarn.... Ugh I am going to kill him.

I get home to find this mess. The good news is he didn't ruin the project at all. There is a mess of yarn he pulled of the cake however i think with a little time I will be able to save the yarn and the project.... if not this dog might be going to the pound....

I just started the sock the shawl will have to yet till after work. I also need to start my yarn smack down socks... can you say over committed.

On the home front things are dicy at best. N is not happy about Derek returning into my life and I cant blame him. I would be unhappy if the other way arround. I can be very jealous.

I was told to update this by someone who is spying on me so here goes it. Not much happened this weekend I worked, friday, saturday and Sunday... oh my Sunday.... what a crazy night. This week I have picked up a 6th day inorder to grab an extra day off in the next couple of weeks.

N took Tage to the dentist to check on the retainer which mind you we have only done for about 3 weeks and the dentist is concerned his teeth are already slipping back... life is good. This kids mouth is about to cost more then his entire body.

finished the green monsters socks and now I am hoping they will fit. I might make the second one longer. I have a feeling I should have knit another .5 inches before starting the toe... oh well not likely he will were them anyways. I mean think about it handmade wool socks in OK... not thinking its a good fit I should have thought about fabric type for this swap, but all my sock yarn is wool.

Tage and I are most likely off to the ocean on Wed. Funny thing is i live so close to the ocean now I never ever go. I think part of it has to do with my pasty white skin... and the sun beating down on me. Plus not knitting friendly in the least.

Secret Swap question #6

I havent taken a vacationin my entire adult life. I actually have a fear of using my vacation time and then wanting it for something special later. My Lost job got sold and they paid us out right for unused vacation time... I had 7.5 weeks after taxes I think i got and extra weeks pay but one well. I dont currently have vacation time as I started at this job in March. So I dont have any stranded with out knitting stories.

I did however have my knitting taken from me in Sept. when I had jury duty... apparently sock needles can be considered a deadly weapon...
I wanted to scream out load that I was a juror not the criminal but oh well... I rotted in the jury pool room all day with 80 other pissed off people.

If you run a jury room... please get up to date magazines... the Soviet Union broke up when I was in high school.... hello Mc Fly

Invasion of other peoples Kids

So I feel like my life is being invaded by other peoples kids. Sat. Tage stayed at his BFF house and Sunday BFF stayed here, he didnt leave till 8pm tonight. Ndebe also decide today would be a great day to work from home.... translation... my day off is ruined by my family. I know that sounds awefull but I am so used to being the only one home on my days off due to the lack of a tradition M-F job that when they are all here they drive me batty. Although Ndebe was working I feel him watching me as I try to Knit and catch up with my soap. The two boys spent every two minutes buggin eachother and then me.
Thankfully Tage is wiped out and in bed by 9pm tonight and I have conviced Ndebe that he wants to go on a mens night date with his best friend....

Panic Attack

So I just finished my rainbow socks made with Kismet by Sereknity and they came out great. I didnt do the short rows all the way to the toe to be honest I was sick of all that purling. My question is to all you people who read my blog (hahahah I think there is one person) do you feel like you are going to have a panic attack at the end of a project? I know many of my fellow knitters will most likely say no since they keep about 1000 things OTN. I dont I have a shawl OTN right now which I shouwl be done with by now but have been neglecting lately, also Sereknity, do you see a pattern here, but I normally only have one thing OTN at a time. My problem now is which yarn what pattern is next. I am honestly thinking about reaching into the bin of sock yarn with my eyes shut and picking that way... but I might pick a flat feet because I know them by touch ugh what to do. Maybe I should let Tage pick the yarn. Oh well till then I think I will work on my Shawl and or Read the 3rd Twilight book. Cant start a project at 1 am anyways since I need to wind the yarn etc.

Well I think since I have become a die hard sock knitter and sock yarn doesnt count as stash.... I dont need to answer this question. hahahahahh

I am amassing a rather large stash of sock yarn currently. My obession is mostly flat feet yarn since I can carry them to the hockey rink with out worrying about a run away ball.

SO I am almost done with my rainbow socks well at least the first one. I am using sereknity kismet and the pattern and or gauge doesnt do the yarn justice. I am using size 2.5 needles and the 60 sts it asked for was not going to fit my man legs so I cast on 76. I am not carring on the short row pattern on the leg I just couldnt figure it out there slow mind i guess.

I also got my endure club yarn in The Darling Aunts.... gotta find the right pattern for that though I am thinking something old fashioned not sure yet though.

Wow the little monster or Tage as others might call him is not even out of school yet and it is so hot. He wanted the AC put in the window in his room however we can't get to the window... told him he would need to clean his room first. Fast forward oh about 15 seconds ok you can get to my window I cleared a path.... something must have gotten lost in the translation from adult mouth to 10 year old ears. So now I have to help him clean his room or listen to him cry about how this isnt fair blah blah blah... sympathic aye. I tried to explain to him that there was no ac when i was growing up and no this is not one of those walked shoeless in the snow to school stories. There was no AC in my house growing up and in fact my 'rents still do not have one although I offered them a third one we have, only the bedrooms in the apartment have doors very open consept but they said what would we use it for. Oh I dont know not dying in the bedroom over night maybe. Oh well they did walk to school backwards without shoes and I guess that make that fan awesome

I am in a sock duel the pattern is dreadful and I am basically dead at this point. My partner posted her socks this morning, the funny thing is I got the pattern before her and was done the first sock before she started. The sock is a basic k3 p1 sock and it is was boring me to tears. I want so much to finish but I am not able to knit more then 30 min. right now. I will keep working on it till mine arrives in fact I might finish it tonight and actually get it in the mail. but gees this is awful.... I want to work on my shawl or anything else really.

Well I have made little to know project on my shawl this week, but, I did finish Tage's jaywalkers out of flat feet yarn. I don't think I have touched that shawl at all this week. I am going to work on it tomorrow haha today its after midnight then it will have to sleep for a while and the hsks5 dueling club drops on Thurs. I have thursday off and dont work till friday at 3pm so depending on the pattern I might be able to crank this out before my partner... its all fun and games

So this is my entire flat feet family. Well atleast until i get the delivery from Paradise Fibers cuz i ordered to more. The one I am currently knitting is not in the picture either, mostly because at this time gizmo was eating my needles out of them.... grr that cat.

I am thinking that I will continue to buy these things as I can only to use them at hockey games and practices. This way there is no fear of a runaway ball of yarn. Could you imagine what it would look like if it ran under the bleachers... yuck.

NH SHEEP AND WOOL

So I went to the sheep and wool festival and my loving husband actually came with me. He seemed to have an ok time although he did say I that this stuff was all from the olden days. I got to see Liane which was nice I really need to trek to Keene on my day off soon. I bought some more Flat Feet Conjoined Creations Yarn one Girlie and one boy for Tage. I also bought one of the Tsarina of Socks kits for a Celtic pattern, I wanted the Cleopatra one but I am not sure about that snake on top of my foot and wearability.

Oh yes Tages pic was in the Methuen Life with the Squirt 2's he is the one lying on the ground. The goalie he really played the game of his life that night.

So last week I went to the yarn store to fetch me some yarn for a swap-bot swap. Of course I got Sereknity yarn because I really love that stuff and its local so not everybody has gotten the chance to use it. While looking for the right yarn for my swap buddy I found this

Isnt it just the most beautiful thing you have ever seen. Its called Gothic Rose. Well I did real well though and didnt buy the yarn I am in 5 sock yarn clubs and have a growing stash including and order with Heather for 4 colors.

Well this was all last Wed. Fast forward to today... I went for a 'ride' to the yarn store. I swear I wasnt going to buy anything. Well I walk over to the Sereknity yarn and there are my 2 hanks of Gothic Rose, clearly I am meant to have them. Boy it is far to pretty and perfect to be socks, not that all of Heathers Colorways arent great but this one on my feet no way, no one will ever see it there. I am now on the hunt for the perfect shawl or wrap pattern for it. I cant even bare to ruin it in a scarf or wrist warmers. So i got 2 skeins and I am open to suggestions on what it should be wont you help a girl out

Well I just joined the next HSKS and I seem to have been tossed out of Gyffendor which is fine with me. Who want to be a Gryff when they can be a Hufflepuff. HSKS is the best swap ever. It is not one of those Wam Bam thank you ma'am swaps. You get to know some great people with in you Hogwarts House and hopefully out side of it. So the new job is ok although I am not sure its the job for me besides it really cutting in to my knitting.

I cant seem to finish these damn twisted flowers I love the pattern but I so want something new on the needles and I promised myself I woul finish these first. I think as I get needles in swaps etc. I need to hide them so i dont have extras makes it far to tempting. I now seem to have gained about 3 sets of size 2 needles so I could finish the twisted flower while working on something else right. Who am I kidding I am on the toe od the second sock what the heck am i whining for. I dont think my fat legs do this great pattern justice. Come to think of it i think my biggest problem with the sock is i have decided i dont like solid yarns. So here is my problem I love Cookie A's patterns but they dont love crazy yarns... might try one in it anyways they are my socks right

Ok so I am going to go finish this dang sock so i can start something new in the am. I am expecting my first shipment from a sock club tomorrow and possibly my Cookie A swap ... yea... new stuff.

So I started my new job today and i must say right now i am just a tiny bit OVER MY HEAD. I am sure it will all be OK in the end but what have i got myself into.

On the knitting front i am about 75% done with my Twisted flower socks and I cant wait to be done. I love the pattern but the yarn is different from what i am used to and its bugging me plus i have other yarns i so desperately want to get on the needles.

not much going on here i have been on the sick side for several days and cant even bring myself to knit. I am on the toe of my twisted flower and cant focus long enough to finish it- mostly because its a charted pattern and you have to actually pay attention to it.
I have got some awesome yarn pirate yarn in the last couple days and man i want it on needles i am fighting the urge. I could do jaywalkers or circles by heart or maybe even a basic sock.... some one hold me back

Twisted Flowers and new yarn

So I basically frogged my twisted flower sock and thought I did it for no reason and then realized that I had made a boo boo and now its looking much better. I am toying with not doing the heal and instep in pattern but i am not entirely sure yet its all about comfort really.

I have move past the first round and started the cabling on the second set of 32. I am also questioning my reasoning on ditching the pattern on the heel and instep. I always want to be working on something new... the next project is always right there and I want to start it. Whats next you might ask not even sure right now but I have gotten some great new yarns in the mail this week a really pretty lang jawoll I have never used before from Swap Bots Cosmicsnail. I also bought yarn pirates killer bees.... I think these will be jaywalkers for Tage (my 10y/o Son).

Cookie A's and a Gryff bag

So Yesterday I finally made my bag for the HSKS 4 swap. Its all done and felted. This afternoon I caught Gizmo stealing it... I really dont know what is with this cat he is such a little thief. I am not sure why but he like to take things and hide them under tages bed this time he didnt make it that far.

Once i finished the bag I casted on a Cookie A's twisted flower. I am moving along now after frogging it for no reason mostlikely last night. I think my biggest problem is I want to see the pattern right away and often times you need to go pretty far into it before it starts to go. I know I dont have much done yet but this is not going to be a fast moving sock. I have decided that I dont like Graphs I would much prefer words written out.

I will tell you cookie's patterns have to be some of the prettiest things out there. Enough that I am even willing to buy them.hahah normally I stick to the free patterns. I actually bought two more last night and she has a killer collection coming out the end of this month

So I finished my circle socks using groovy gryffendor. They knitted up so amazingly I cant wait to send them off to my swap buddy. I am going to be buying more yarn from her that is for sure she has amazing quality.

I am about to cast on Jaywalkers using Slytherin yarn from
selana. This yarn is great looking to and has large sections of colors. There ones are for Tagge he picked the pattern so we shall see what happens.

So I did a quick swap count today and I am in 18 on swap bot and three on Ravelry man these things are addicting.
I am currently amassing a huge amount of sock yarn which I am hiding in a brown paper bag like someone with a drinking problem or something. I mean can you ever really have a yarn hording problem. oh my am i a horder... next thing you know i will be a divorcee with 20 cats..

Ok so i finished my first little can of paint and now what. I feel like I can go to bed till i have something on the needles. The Ironic thing is I was sleepy a while aga and decided I could go to sleep until i finished the toe as I had just started decreasing.

I would cast on but I dont know what to cast on... more socks for me...socks for harry potter swap... bag for harry potter swap(the other one)... I am getting a pair done a week or so... so i have time for the full knitted swaps but should i really wait till the last minute.
The real problem here is i am waiting on yarn I ordered from Etsy.com and I dont know if i will knit that or the yarn i got earlier... grr I guess in the end choices should not be made at 230 am.

I guess maybe a round on the blue lapgan is in order--- this is something i bound off before it was the size i wanted only so i could cast on something else how crazy is that. Now around and around I go with a crochet hook.

So this was my first election that was not in NH. I get it now. I see why there are people in the country who think we ought to have a national election I got my ballot with about 8 people listed on it yet only two of the people are still in the race. How different would the race be if everyone was still in the election... Bill Richards dropped out the day after NH Edwards about a week later dammit what if. Not only that what a huge waste of money since they pay a fee to each state to be on the ballots and at the time they are doing so they still think they have a chance...

So my local yarn store was having a super bowl sale so you know I had to go...
I got enough yarn for three more pairs of socks and none for swap partners and I say I need three more by V-day. I got another little can of paint more for the container then the yarn, dont get me wrong the yarn is great and I am fond of Lornas Laces but I love the little cans.

I found some great green yarns for the one I am holding but didnt buy it, why you ask because there might be better out there. Although this is a color specified swap I still want it to be right for the swapee.

So now here I sit thinking maybe I should go back and get more... lol Ndebe is going to kill me.

ribbit ribbit In which I spend my day frogging a sock

So I feel like all i did today was frog a sock. I actually frogged the same sock 3 times the sad thing is I am doing a basic pattern. First I was working on the heel flap when I realized I cast on 84 stitches pattern called for 56... now i do have very thick claves so at times i will increase but that was way out of line even for me.

Then I was using the wrong needles calls for a 0 and I had fours in my yarn... I am use 2 to hit gauge...

third and final time i am not even sure why i was frogging i just did... I think i need to seek help..

After all this and about 8 hours of knitting today I have a grand total of four rows done. At one point Tage (who is home sick from school) said wow you are already on your second sock and I wanted to kill him....

So I got some great yarn from my swap buddy Gizmo and Chugly quickly stole it and hid it under Tages bed. Those cats really love sock yarn.Its Regia and a off white with purple spec I wanted to post a pic for you all to see but it doesnt show well. I really need to get a camera the cell phone thing is pathetic

I seem to have gone on a sock yarn frenzy oh well more knittingfor me.

I also got my harry Potter yarn in the mail Saturday it is so awesome and Tage noted right away those are Gryffidor colors are you making me a pair of socks... well i guess I am now. I am now about to order yarn from each house and let him pick plus the other HP swap is for knitted socks so I might get a head start as I am a slow knitter at times.

I am new to this blogging thing but figured everyone seems to be doing it so why not. I guess in my mind the blog was for the young folks and me at a ripped old age of 34 well what would I be blogging about.
